Experience
I earned a bachelor's degree from Cornell College, where I graduated with a triple major in Sociology & Anthropology, Biology, and German. I went on to earn my Master of Applied Anthropology at the University of Maryland, College Park. During graduate school, I taught anthropology and completed a fellowship with the National Institutes of Health. I am passionate about anthropology and love to share my knowledge with my students! I enjoy tutoring a range of subjects, from English, reading, writing, German, science, and mathematics. I truly enjoy helping my tutees learn new concepts. As I teach, I try to instill strong organizational and study skills in my students so they can feel more confident in all their academic pursuits. Since each student learns differently, it's important to me to help them discover and feel comfortable with their individual learning style. When students are familiar with how they learn, they are able to learn material more efficiently. In my spare time, I am a dedicated volunteer, and also enjoy exploring historical sites, reading, running, and cooking.
