Experience
I have a bachelor's degree in dance, communications and women's studies from California State University. After completing that program, I continued working on my master's degree, in which I had a focus in liberal arts, social sciences, and humanities. I have also attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, where I obtained a PhD in Sociology. My experience includes several years of working as a teacher in three significant universities, being a published author in many journals, and being a contributing writer for different books. In fact, I have a new book that will be available for purchase in the fall, from Rowman and Littlefield publishers. I can be very helpful to students struggling with writing, having assisted several in constructing essays, preparing for exams, and even writing statements for their college applications. Through my teaching experience of theories, I am able to help students have a true understanding of subjects such as philosophy, economics, political science, and sociology. I have been able to aid learners in grasping difficult theorist ideas, such as Marx and Butler. When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy reading/writing, swimming, dancing, hiking, and spending time with my children.
