Experience
I earned my bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. While there, I also received a co-teaching certificate for Pre-K through fifth grade. In order to receive my degree the school required me to take part in 40 hours of tutoring that was then judged by professors. One of my most intense teaching experiences was in a practicum where I helped students improve in all fields from Reading to Math. I love teaching and feel comfortable helping students in pretty much any area, but my expertise lays in Language Arts and English. I believe that skills in those areas are applicable across all other fields and can provide a great foundation, no matter what the student is studying. I think that one of my strengths is that I see my job as a teacher as giving students skills they can apply as they go forward in life rather than simply getting them to the answers they immediately need. I enjoy spending a lot of my free time outdoors camping and kayaking, as well as reading mystery novels and cooking.
