I earned my undergraduate degree in civil and environmental engineering. I've enjoyed a lifelong love of learning, especially regarding the subjects of science and math. It has been my privilege to tutor students of all ages for the past three years and I find it remarkably rewarding to facilitate a love of learning and academic success in students who were previously struggling with specific subject area content. While I do have a special love for the fields of math and science, I enjoy working with students in a wide variety of subject areas. Some of the subjects I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1 & 2, elementary school math, differential equations, geometry, middle school math, pre-calculus, statistics, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, physics, Spanish 1 & 2, reading, writing, English grammar and syntax, multivariable calculus, arithmetic, civil and environmental engineering, environmental science, pre-algebra, and various other math and science courses. My teaching philosophy was greatly influenced by the time I spent studying abroad in Spain during my undergraduate studies. The daily practice and real world application helped to rapidly increase my fluency. It also taught me how important it is to make the subject matter personally relatable to each student. Because of this experience, I take the time to truly get to know my students so I am able to more effectively personalize their learning experience.
