I am a 2003 Graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, GA with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Religion. I went on to obtain graduate degrees at the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH. In 2007, I graduated with a Master of Science in Education degree and in 2013 I graduated with an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology with a 3.8 overall grade point average.
Experience
I am a nationally certified School Psychologist and have been practicing in the field of education for 9 years in various roles and with various age groups. As a School Psychologist, I specialize in conducting assessments as a means to identifying students' strengths and weaknesses, as well as creating and implementing interventions and instructional strategies that will help them learn to the best of their abilities. This translates into being a tutor as it gives me the foundation necessary to be able to identify the need/s of the student/s in which I provide tutoring services. As each person learns differently, it also gives me the tools necessary to develop instruction conducive to an individuals learning needs. More than just my knowledge and skills, what makes me a great tutor is that I am a motivated and energetic person who loves to learn and who loves to see others learn!
