With a B.A. and M.A. in English, Jessica has traveled the globe in order to teach, to write, and to share her passion for learning. Jessica is an award-winning educator who has worked for universities and private primary and secondary schools in multiple countries. From 2005-2009, Jessica taught writing at the University of West Georgia. Then, from 2009-2013, Jessica served at Ivy Collegiate Academy, a WASC-accredited boarding school for grades 7-12. Most recently, Jessica taught classes to grades 1 to 8, as English Department Head for Li-Tze Academy in Taiwan. She will always remember the hugs and tears of her young students as they warmly wished her farewell when she returned to the U.S. Jessica's pupils have ranged from first graders to University freshman and have been from over 20 different countries, and her excellence in teaching has been frequently recognized. While teaching at the University of West Georgia, Jessica was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2009. In 2013 and 2015, Jessica was selected to be a TED Educator. One of her TED-Ed videos has received over 180,000 views! Jessica has also had a successful career in the world of publishing. She has worked professionally with a University Press and as a copy-editor. In the last 5 years, she has published 3 novels. One of them debuted as an Amazon top-25 bestseller.
